Intense with good definition. Aromas of ripe pears and stone fruits (apricot, loquats), citrus notes (lemon jam, citronella, lime peel).
Pleasant on entry, medium-bodied, unctuous. The grapefruit aromas, with their characteristic bitter notes, come through again via retro-olfaction and add to the pronounced acidity, giving the wine an intense finish.
White and oily fish. Seafood, particularly oysters. Appetisers, cured meats and pasta dishes. Rice dishes such ‘paella’ and ‘risotto’.
